Nicholas A. Wormley, age 48, resident of Prescott, WI passed away March 2, 2022 at Mayo Hospital in Rochester, MN. Nicholas “Nick” was born to parents Jim and Ann in May of 1973 in Ramsey County, MN.

Nick was a new resident to Prescott but had longed to reside in Prescott for many years prior. He could often be seen on his unique bike or watching the trains by the river. He was a creator of art, music, software and extraordinary cribbage hands. While Nick has moved on to a better place, it is the world that has suffered a loss. Nick will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved him.

Nick will remain in the hearts of his loving wife, Julie; parents, sister, nieces, friends and colleagues. He is preceded in death by his grandparents.

A Celebration of Nick’s life will be held at 4 p.m., May 28, 2022 at United Church of Christ, 206 Locust Street, Prescott, WI 54021. Visitation will be after the service in the church hall. Burial to be at a later date at Pine Glenn Cemetery. Funeral services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Prescott.

Tributes (3):

Please note: if you just submitted a tribute, it is pending approval.
  • I’m so sorry for your loss. Nick was a neighbor of mine for many years here in Saint Paul. He always made time to say hello or chat when we passed ways in the hallway or outside. I was always happy to see him, and you could tell he had a kind heart. I will miss him.

  • Nick was a wonderful person with a gentle, giant, kind soul. Despite the gruff exterior he presented most of the time, he cared about people and those who knew him are better because of him. This world is a better place for him being here. I treasure the short time I was blessed with him as a great friend.

I miss you Nick. I believe we will meet again.

  • Nick, awesome friend, i will miss you. I will miss sending you postcards from wherever I travelled. I will miss our love for indie films in Minneapolis. Our visits in Minnesota and not seeing you brings me and Eric sadness. We think of you and will miss you greatly. We loved meeting your wife Julie and thank her so much for taking care of you like she did…God bless you both! Lots of love, patty and eric…godspeed🖤🖤🖤and, the lord’s prayer too
