Joseph Anthony Riley, age 63 of Prescott passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home. Joe was born on June 13, 1958 to Neil and Consuelo (Romero) Riley in Hastings, Minnesota. He graduated from Prescott High School in 1976. On June 2, 1979, Joe married the love of his life Julie Allie. Their union blessed them with three children, Brandon, Melissa, and Rachel.

Joe dedicated many years of his life coaching youth sports and serving as Chief Union Steward for the Teamsters Local 120. He loved hunting, playing with his grandkids in the pool, and cruising on his motorcycle. He was a very generous man beyond belief, almost to a fault, who will be missed by many.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Julie; children: Brandon (Jess) Riley, Melissa (Justin) Wilwert, and Rachel (Scott) Conant; grandchildren: Zachary, Skylar, Hazel, Blake, Etta, Joseph, Anthony, and Allie; siblings: John (Anita) Riley, Neil (Jan) Riley, Bill (Brenda) Riley, Carm (Roger) Klegin, Dennis Riley, Mary (Tim) Shafer, Mike Riley, Tim (Shelby) Riley, Ginny (Greg) Anger, Wita (Kevin) Erickson, Tom (Bradi) Riley; along with many nieces and nephews, and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Neil and Connie Riley; parents-in-law, Jerry and Judy Allie; sister-in-law Jackie Riley; nephews Tripp and Freddie.

A celebration of life will be on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the Old Ptacek’s Event Center 1449 Orrin Rd, Prescott, WI 54021. Greetings will start at 1:00 with a service at 2:00, and a celebration of life will follow until 6:00 PM.

Please note: if you just submitted a tribute, it is pending approval.
  • I worked with Joe at the refinery. He was my chief when I worked in the crude unit and was very patient with me and all of my questions. We had many good times on the area golf courses. I’ll always remember his kind personality and witty charm. It was always easy to talk to Joe about anything. My sincere condolences to his family.

  • To the family of Joe. I send my deepest condolences to all. Joe was my friend, neighbor, co-worker, mentor and all-around good guy. His contributions to many will be missed. I pray that there will be comfort and peace in this time of sorrow. Sincerely Paul Jones

  • All the years of memories I will hold dear. I once told him Calvin Griffith was my dad. We laughed about that when I met him for the first time in 1977. Joe and his beautiful family will always be in my heart as they navigate this very difficult time. Blessings to his wife Julie for the love and care she gave Joe’s family and friends. Peace, comfort, and prayers to you all.
    Love to you all!

  • My deepest sympathies for your loss. Joe was a wonderful man full of love and compassion for his family and friends. He will be missed dearly. I am so glad I got to be part of your lives. Sending prayers, hugs, and love to Julie, Brandon, Melissa, Rachel, and families.

  • Dear Julie and Family and all Riley siblings, My most sincere condolences to all of you. I am sure that Joe’s love and presence will be so missed.
