Jerry John Huebner, age 78, of Ellsworth passed away on November 12, 2021 at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Jerry was born on December 25, 1942 to Arthur and Rose (Marson) Huebner. He graduated from Elmwood High School with the Class of 1962. Jerry was united in marriage to the love of his life Janet Huebner on July 21, 1962 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elmwood, WI. Their union blessed them with two children, Jeanna and Jason.

Jerry enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and loved anything that had to do with being outside and in the woods. He was an expert Marksmen and avid archer. Jerry also served on the Ellsworth Ambulance service, the Peirce County Sheriffs reserves and was extremely proud of that. He owned a Texaco Station back in the late 60s now the location the BP station in Ellsworth. One of Jerrys favorite places was there family land the “Little 40” a perfect slice of heaven. On his free time, Jerry would make fishing lures and was into tractor pulls and demo derbies.

Jerry will remain the heart of his loving wife of 59 years Janet, children: Jason Huebner, Jeanna Teel; grandchildren: Jerriane (Jeremey) Johnson, Jessa (Derrick) Hayden, Jameson (Cheyanne) Gilliland, Alec Huebner, and Katelyn Huebner; great grandchildren: Ava, Paisley, Willow, Oliver, Jackson, Hunter, and Landon. Sisters: Elizabeth “Betty” Hawkins, and Mary Strickland; sisters-in-law: Joyce Kendall, Diann Holcomb, and Doris Hassel and Doris Holcomb along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur and Rose Huebner; in-laws: Elmer and Nora Holcomb; brothers-in-law: John Strickland, Leroy Holcomb, Dale Holcomb, Ervin Kardash, and Jerry Kendall; and siblings: Art Huebner, Barbara Kardash, William Huebner, and Ruth Huebner.

A gathering of friends and family will take place at 4:00pm to 7:00pm Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at O’Connell Family Funeral Home 130 N Grant St. Ellsworth, WI 54011.

  • I have so many great memories of my big brother, Jerry. I shall cherish all of them. Fly high, Jer, and I will see you again. Love always and forever, you lil’ sis, Beardy.

  • Hunting will never be the same he will be missed by so very many people. Thinking of you Aunt Janet and family. We will miss you until we meet again uncle Jerry.

  • Jerry and Janet have been our neighbors for about 40 years and they have been the best neighbors and friends anyone could ever ask for. We will miss Jerry’s laugh and craziness. He and Lowell cooked up some funny stuff over the years. God bless him, he’s now moving around and breathing deep breaths. The neighborhood will never be the same.
