Diana Lynn Steinke, age 65 of Prescott WI and formerly of Hastings MN, died on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at her residence. Diana was born October 2, 1955 in Red Wing MN to parents Maynard Schiller and Hazel Morinelli. Diana graduated from high school in Downington PA. She furthered her education at University of Northwestern in Saint Paul MN, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Ministry.

Diana worked for over 30 years with AMG Resources as their office manager. Outside of work, she spent countless hours crafting and creating all kinds of cards that she would share with others. Diana enjoyed the simple things, such as feeding the birds, squirrels, and chipmunks in her neighborhood. She also loved the variety of a good Chinese buffet. Diana took great delight in her role of being a grandma! She loved to spend time with, and pass on her talents to, her grandkids by cooking and working on art projects with them. Her faith and love for her family were strongly rooted, and passed on as well. She will be missed by loved ones and dear friends alike.

Diana is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Matt) Seeger, and Brenda (Shawn) Dudasko; grandchildren, Nick (Kristin) Rowan, Tyler Rowan, Emily Seeger, Chloe Seeger, Britton Dudasko, and Maxwell Dudasko; great-grandchildren, Carter and Gavin; her siblings, Patricia Morinelli, David Morinelli, Liz Morinelli, and Michelle (John) Mackey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary Morinelli; and beloved dogs, Dixie and Duke.

To celebrate the life of Diana Steinke, a Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 1:00-3:00pm on Saturday, July 24th at the O’Connell-Benedict Funeral Home, 1339 Orrin Road in Prescott WI. Much like Diana, the gathering for her will be simple and sweet, and guests are encouraged to wear something red, as it was her favorite color. Memorials are preferred to the discretion of the family. Services are entrusted to the O’Connell-Benedict Funeral Home of Prescott WI. 715-262-5404

Diana's Tribute Wall

Tributes (3):

Please note: if you just submitted a tribute, it is pending approval.
  • I knew Diana for a brief time, I started delivering to AMG in January of 2018. I enjoyed seeing her and chatting with her. She told me she was living vicariously through me with all my travel adventures. I unfortunately never got to share my pictures of my trip to SE Asia with her. I know she will be missed by her coworkers at AMG and I have missed her since she retired. My condolences to her family and friends.

  • Diana was a very kind, very loving person. She was an extraordinarily hard worker. She was a great mom, a great friend and the best grandma to her grandkids. She was a loving pet mom and pet grandma. She was a devoted Christian who was willing to share her faith with those around her. She had a warm smile and laugh. I was blessed to have her as a part of my life. My love and sympathies go to all of the people that she loved and that she touched in her time. The world needs more people like her.

  • My time with Diana, my mother-in-law, was brief. Too much so. But in the short time I was blessed with knowing her I came to recognize her as a kind person. Willing to help anyone she could. I came to know her as a child of God. Her faith was something she was extremely proud of and she wouldn’t hesitate to share the good word. Kind words and good deeds, that was the Diana I knew. I came to look forward to her handcrafted cards during holidays and special events. I will always remember her introducing this southern Indiana boy to walleye for the first time. I will miss her smile. I will miss her honesty. I will miss cooking for her. She never minced words with me and I always respected that about her. Within minutes of the first time I meet her she informed me “You will take care of my daughter.”. It wasn’t a suggestion or a request, it was a direct order. I won’t let you down Diana. Godspeed and Gob bless. You will be missed.
