Dalton Lee Ford, age 22 of Prescott, WI, passed away tragically as a result of an automobile accident on April 4, 2021.  A much-loved son, brother, grandson, boyfriend, nephew, cousin and friend.  Dalton was born on March 4, 1999 in Hastings, MN to James and Veronica (Lee) Ford.  He graduated from Prescott High School, with the Class of 2017.  After high school, Dalton received an Associate’s degree in Automobile Technology from Dunwoody College.  Having a strong work ethic, Dalton loved his job at Luther White Bear Acura as an Automobile Technician.  He also worked as a cook at Vino in the Valley and enjoyed the friendships of his Vino family.

Dalton was a part of many activities throughout his school years.  He was a successful young wrestler who went to state in the 5th grade and was active in middle and high school band, playing the drums.  Dalton had a special place in his heart for animals.  He was a car enthusiast, an avid member of the of Minnesota Nissan Infiniti Club and was extremely proud of his Nissan 370z – 40th Anniversary Edition.  Dalton treasured his time with his family and friends and the love of his life, Tayler Garza.  Together Dalton and Tayler shared in camping, hiking, traveling and his car club adventures.  They were “foodies” and loved trying new restaurants and different foods together.

Dalton will forever remain in the hearts of his parents, Jim and Veronica Ford; brothers, Dylan (Rheanna) Ford and Dayne (Cheyann Zieman) Ford; grandmothers, Barbara Lee and Lois Ford; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

Dalton's Tribute Wall

Tributes (11):

Please note: if you just submitted a tribute, it is pending approval.
  • Veronica, My heart is aching for you. I have buried three of my siblings and recently my nephew Jeffery(Johanna’s son). There is nothing to say when someone so young passes away. If we had know, we would of attended his service. Happy memories will some day replace all this sadness. He’s with your dad. That’s all that has carried me through Jeffrey’s death. Just knowing he is safe with his mom, grandpa, Auntie Sue and uncles John and Pete, gets me through. Remember, some day the sun will shine again. All my love,
    Shannon Brandt

  • I don’t know Dalton or Tayler, I live in Savage/Burnsville area. My heart aches for the loss of these beautiful, young people, for the pain of friends and family. People in this community are praying for you, may you be touched by God’s hands and lifted up in love while you grieve this loss. Sincerest condolences to all of you in this time of loss.

  • Dalton – I’m so happy to have met you. Such great work at Vino
you always were smiling even it was crazy in the Vino Kitchen!
I remember there were a few times you would bring the big speaker
down into the Gazebo for Don and I. We had a laugh and I was amazed how you lifted that up like it was a feather! You always said
“Let me know if you need me again” I remember thinking that you were the real deal. I real gentleman. Dalton you will always be in my heart. We are both Blessed to have met you.

  • Dalton,
I don’t know where to start you where I great person in side and out. You where probably by far my favorite person to work with at Vino. I may only have known you for three years you made it feel like 30. I always remember the times larry would come into the kitchen after we got slammed with a lot of plates and cooking pans and having larry say jokingly you better have all these cleaned by the time I came back in here we are having a record night, and 10 minutes later seeing the look on larrys face when we didn’t have a single pan or plate left wash standing there asking if you brought us more things to wash was probably one of the best nights we ever had together. You where always a hard worker and tried to make everyone around you better. I still can’t believe your gone you where only just getting started with your life. I will always have the memories we made at work. You will forever be missed. Rest easy buddy hopefully I’ll see you again.

  • I am devastated at this loss. You and Taylor are some of the most genuine people I have ever met in my entire life. I’ll never forget messing around with you in wood shop and goofing around town all summer long. You have left this plane but we will meet again, brother. I hope you’re tuning that 370z in heaven because I want one more lap around town with you. Love you both – forever. Rest in Paradise.

  • Our prayers are with you. There will be a missing part of Josh’s life that Dalton filled with fun & friendship. He was a great roommate & friend at the house.

  • Dalton,
Words can not describe the pain and remorse this has brought me. Memories keep flooding my head from playing on the snow hill outside your grandparents house in the 2nd grade, to celebrating your 21st birthday in the cities with our closest friends and everything in between. You, Dylan and Dayne were my first Prescott friends and I’m so grateful I made so many lifelong memories with you. It tears me apart knowing you had such a bright and monumental future ahead of you. So many moments we still had yet to experience and living we had yet to do. You will be missed deeply and there will forever be a hole in many of our hearts knowing your smiling face and laughter won’t fill the room anymore. I know wherever you and Tayler are, you guys are tearing it up in the 370z just like how you did down here. I love you and will always miss my third brother.

  • Dalton,
I watched you be such a great friend to Max from helping him in the garage with his Jeep to just hanging out and watching YouTube videos, and laughing with us, and oh my that laugh. It’s definitely unforgettable and I feel it’s what is going to help us all through this.

You were a great friend to him and then evolved into a great friend to me, take care of Tayler wherever you are, I know you will. Our wedding won’t be the same without you but I’ll make sure you two are apart of it somehow.

We love you two so very much!

  • Fly high cousin! You and Taylor will be greatly missed. Give grandpa a hug from all of us. Until we meet again Love you buddy.

  • Rest in peace Dalton. With Taylor by your
Side. Heaven just received a couple more wonderful
Give your grandpa Warren a hug from all of us here
